Example Uses for AwayFind

And to help explain this to your Contacts…

Not everyone will be familiar with the concept of AwayFind at first. You will probably want to provide context within your auto response message for both getting to your AwayFind page and explaining how accessible you want to be. To get you started, AwayFind offers auto response message templates.  Within your account screens, you’ll be able to access:

  • Day-to-day templates
  • Business travel templates
  • Vacation templates
  • And more!

When you get too much email

Do you sit down at your desk each morning dreading the sight of your inbox? Tired of wasting the most productive hours of your day answering emails?

Use an auto response message with a link to your AwayFind account to inform people of when and how you can be reached

text message any urgent communications to you (or others) while you’re not checking email

If you work from the road

Use AwayFind to text message any urgent communications to you (or others) while you’re away from your email

Use AwayFind to route messages to others, in order to delegate important issues while you’re away from your desk

When you take a vacation

Use AwayFind’s secure online inbox to keep an eye on critical developments without having to read the hundreds of other messages in your Inbox

Use AwayFind to route messages to others, so that important issues get automatically delegated while you’re away

If you’re really worried, you can use AwayFind to have any urgent communications sent to you via text message

If you’re self employed or work in a small office

Whenever you’ve tried to escape the office in the past, you’ve lacked the luxury of saying "Contact [Someone who is not me] for any emergencies" in your voicemail and email messages. But now, you can use AwayFind to send a text message to your cell phone for any emergencies and really travel without checking email.

The following are alternate uses of AwayFind.

Go ahead, have fun with it.

To get voicemail emergencies

Add the following to your voicemail greeting, "If this is an emergency, please visit awayfind.com/mypage and I’ll get back to you much sooner." This provides all the same benefits of using AwayFind with email (see above).

As a very powerful company contact form

AwayFind not only serves as an easy and professionally branded contact form for your company, but it also offers advanced routing and notification options that would take a great deal of effort to develop on your own. While it’s not very difficult to create your own company contact form, spending even a single hour on such a task for a web developer would be equivalent to the cost of about two years of AwayFind service.

If you’re, like, really important

Let’s be honest: you don’t have time for most of the little people who are emailing you. Use AwayFind to filter out that detritus (you’re important, you know what that word means) but let the important stuff get to you.

  • On your website/ business cards/ assorted paraphernalia, publish an email address that only your assistants check
  • Create an AwayFind auto response for that email address
  • Optional: To further screen people, have them answer a really difficult validation question that involves integrals and Pig Latin
